To get away or not...a look at Presidential Vacations.



Hello friends,

I took a much needed day off.  I wasn’t at Camp David or Martha’s Vineyard, which is where the president usually travels for either a meeting with other heads of state or vacation with the family.  I wouldn’t limit my choices for the family gatherings.  Now that we are on topic of “days off”….let’s roll.

For next year, it looks as though there are 10 Federal Holidays.  Usually there seems to be around 30.

As you know in earlier postings, I spent 11 years at a particular job and accrued 3 weeks of paid vacation a year….quite a deal if I were actually able to take vacation.  I’m going to add a link to how the past few presidents concept of vacation evolved.

Depending on what site you look at….it seems that Democrats take fewer days of vacation. 

I would take only time that is needed.....  Three weeks a year is fair.
