The money pits.....here's at least a start at where we can save some money.

  Hello Reader's,

I may have mentioned some of our international spending in a post from the past...this post is more of a where it's going, why it's going and how much ( percentage wise ) I would cut the funding if I became President.

1. Egypt : ( Reuters )  The United States has given Egypt an average of $2 billion annually since 1979, much of it military aid, according to the Congressional Research Service. The combined total makes Egypt the second largest recipient of U.S. aid after Israel.

Now...with a new government in Egypt, that may not honor the treaty of 1979, do we really want to continue pouring money into this pit? My vote:  100% will be deducted from any future payment.

2. Israel : Wikipedia :  Since 1985, it has provided nearly $3 billion in grants annually to Israel, with Israel being the largest annual recipient of American aid from 1976 to 2004 and the largest cumulative recipient of aid since World War II.   Almost all U.S. aid to Israel is now in the form of military assistance, while in the past it also received significant economic assistance.
Understandably, Israel is smack dab in the middle of half a dozen other countries that want to see it destroyed.  My vote:  Either offer them a nice parcel of land in Alaska and cancel all aid, or reduce aid to 60%.

3. Pakistan: Gleaned from Wikipedia, the money we give Pakistan for both military and economy averages around 2 billion a year or more.  Since we took out the Osama guy, more Pakistani when polled say they hate the U.S. It's up to near 85% now.  My vote:  Suspend all "aid" to Pakistan. If they are going to "hate" us....I would rather there be a valid reason.

These are 3 of many "money pits" that could be well reduced in coming years.  I look forward to bringing to light more money pits in the future.  Through our vote, our voice may be heard.

Have a great day all,

Trevor M Dodge
