Halfway, Oregon with my wife, to see family and much more.....

A couple years back, actually shortly before we were married, Ginger and I drove to Halfway Oregon to visit some of her family that she hadn't seen in quite a while. Easy directions to get there from Washington State.  Drive South until you cross into Portland Oregon then travel East. About 45 miles before you cross into Idaho, hang a left. Halfway Oregon took it's name from the location of it's post office....which was located half way between Pine and Cornucopia Oregon.  Seems logical.  Ginger had arranged for us to stay at the Clear Creek Inn, which would have been easier to find if I had shut off the G.P.S....haa haa.   What a wonderful place to stay, with equal parts of solitude, scenery, history and wonderful owners. After we got settled, we drove back into town to catch up with family and do some exploring.  I have to mention Halfway Whimsical... it is a locally owned co-op featuring art and products created by local artists using eco-friendly means or recycled and reclaimed items.  Truly a unique and friendly place.  We visited family and caught up on events over the last few years that Ginger missed or wasn't aware of....then continued to explore both around town and back at the Inn.  We did a fair share of walking around the Inn and snapping a lot of photos.   We split the remaining day with her family, then back to Halfway Whimsical where we purchased some photos.  All in all, it was a wonderful trip, albeit too short.... I had to get back to Washington and return to work.  We will be going there again in the near future....for sure!!     Next post is where I want go most....Russia!!!
