As a military veteran and American, I will be making the most incredible pastries known to America. Additionally I will blog about a lot of other stuff as well.

Oct 11, 2011 Train of thought.....
Hello readers,
It seems that somewhere between Germany and Mexico, my train of thought...somehow derailed. I knew what I wanted to write, just couldn't get it to flow right. So, I will entertain with some memories and musings from my childhood. I remember the good old days...back when spankings were legal, but not looked forward to and there was only one option other than "going outside to play"....OK, two options....one, go to your room or two, sit in front of the TV and play a game called pong. It was about as exciting as watching a tennis match from the net, and not being able to turn your head left or right...thus, rain or shine, my brothers and I were active in sports...baseball, soccer and bowling....OK, bowling is not considered a sport to some, much like chiropractic medicine to the A.M.A. ( American Medical Association ), but it can be physically challenging. Growing up we learned to be mindful and respectful to our elders; and in the military, I learned to be respectful to all troops, even the higher ranking officers that are young enough to be my kid....sorry, had to throw that in there sir....ha ha. He will know who I'm talking about if he truly is reading this blog. OK, back to bowling. I remember on Christmas 1977 or 78, I received a round, heavy, but nicely wrapped gift. It was my first bowling ball, and the first...maybe only sport we played as a family. The brothers and I played junior leagues, then joined mom and dad for a family league, where we were known as "The Fearsome Four-some"....and without getting all "in your face about it", we ROCKED. From the first game to the last, our team widened the gap between first and not first. I remember the good times we had back then, and just want to throw out there that sometimes the best things in life, happen with your family and parents....except clothes shopping....nope...won't count that. Have a great day everyone and will see you again tomorrow. We are doing well and over 800 views ( total ) since Sept. 1, 2011.
